At Oxford Fertility we treat NHS and self-funded patients, giving everyone the same expert care and attention. NHS funding is granted by the Clinical Commissioning Group and is subject to certain criteria dependant on the area you live in.
If you have been advised that you meet the criteria for NHS funded treatment in your area, your GP will need to refer you to a secondary care clinic for the relevant tests and forms to be completed. You will then be able to make a decision as to which where you would like to have your treatment. If we have a contract with your GP’s CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) then Oxford Fertility will be listed on the funding form as a provider.
NHS funded patients at Oxford Fertility receive the same high level of care and individualised treatment as self-funded patients.
Alternatively, if you wish to privately fund your treatment you can self-refer to us by completing our Self-Referral Request If you have any test results already, please bring these along to your first consultation.
It is likely that you will need to visit your chosen clinic regularly. Finding one close to home will reduce travel time and costs, helping to ease the pressure in anxious times.
We are part of the UK’s largest group of IVF and fertility clinics so it may be possible for you to have some of your appointments closer to home and then come to Oxford Fertility for key elements of your treatment programme. Talk to us if you are interested in this option.
