Warwickshire Fertility moves to state-of-the-art facility
We opened the doors of Warwickshire Fertility to give people across Warwickshire access to fertility services within their own county for the first time. We’d been delighted that people from towns such as Nuneaton, Rugby and Warwick chose to be treated at Oxford Fertility, and so wanted to reduce the stress of travel for them.
Three years on, and we’re making the experience even easier for people in Warwickshire to access the widest range of fertility services in the UK. As from 12th August, Warwickshire Fertility will be based in the £22m state of the art Stratford Hospital, in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon.
The staff at Oxford and Stratford were incredibly supportive. I couldn’t have asked for better care.
As before, patients will be able to make the vast majority of appointments in Stratford, including multiple blood tests, injections and ultrasound scans before egg collection. Only egg collection and embryo transfer procedures will be conducted in Oxford, reducing disruption to a patient’s life.
Since opening, our expert team at Warwickshire Fertility has helped people from across the county understand their fertility, undergo fertility preservation techniques such as egg freezing and achieve their dreams of having a baby.
Philippa, from Stratford-on-Avon, chose to freeze her eggs with us last year, and shared with us why:
My friend had used Oxford Fertility and highly recommended the clinic
“My preference would be to start a family with a partner, but I’d rather have children on my own than not at all. Freezing my eggs has taken the pressure off a little and given me the option of waiting to make that decision in a few more years.
“My friend had used Oxford Fertility and highly recommended the clinic – it was important to me to have that insight before deciding to go ahead. Being able to attend many appointments close to work also made everything so much easier to manage. The staff at Oxford and Stratford were incredibly supportive. I couldn’t have asked for better care.”
Although we primarily treat self-funded patients at Warwickshire Fertility, we are able to apply for a special request for funding from the local CCG if patients /referring consultants specifically request us. We unfortunately do not have a contract with the local CCG so this does restrict who we can treat.

Our clinic also helps the sustainability of other local NHS services, contributing towards a social enterprise wholly owned by South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, which reinvests all profits back into the NHS.
