We appreciate that travelling back and forth from a clinic for frequent appointments can be a challenge, especially if you live some distance away. To ease the stress and limit your travelling time, we have satellite clinics around the country where you can have some of your consultations and scanning appointments.
Our satellite clinics are situated in Cheltenham, Reading, Swindon, Warwickshire, Windsor & Worcester. Anyone can use them, whether undergoing fresh IVF, frozen embryo replacement cycles, or intrauterine insemination.
We may be able to offer the following appointments at the satellite clinic:
- Doctor consultation
- Nurse planning appointment
- Down regulation scan appointments
- Follicular tracking scans
- Pregnancy scans
- Follow-up medical consultation
You will however, still need to attend Oxford Fertility for your egg retrieval and embryo transfer appointments (or insemination if undergoing IUI or DI). If you require any additional procedures, such as a cyst aspiration, sperm freeze or surgical sperm retrieval, then these are again conducted at Oxford Fertility.
How will using the satellite clinics affect my treatment?
The aim of the satellite service is to make treatment more convenient for yourself. Our satellites are staffed by highly experienced nurses and doctors, ensuring good communication and an excellent standard of care. Appointments are conducted in line with Oxford Fertility protocols, and all scan and blood test results are sent to the main unit so the decisions made about your treatment, and your chances of success, are the same whether you choose to have your appointments close to home or in Oxford Fertility.
